Hoya is active in three major fields of business: information technology, vision care, and lifestyle refinement. The information technology field is Hoya's core business. Products in this category include mask blanks and photomasks, which are essential to the fabrication of semiconductor devices; optical glass for use in devices such as liquid crystal displays and digital cameras; and glass disks for hard disk drives. The vision care field is the province of two corporate divisions. The Vision Care Division, which manufactures products such as lenses for eyeglasses, and the Healthcare Division, which handles products such as intraocular lenses and hearing aids. The lifestyle refinement field is represented by the Crystal Products Division, which manufactures decorative and other products in the fine tradition of Hoya crystal glassware.
